Meet Christalyn!
Hey,
I'm Christalyn Baker!

Founder of Four 12 Training Group. I work with pastors, churches, and other faith leaders on developing strong infrastructure and systems to achieve and maintain their vision.
Over the last 23 years, I’ve assisted churches and leaders in changing the way they see, think, and do ministry. I use my ministry experience, the gift of administration, and the information I’ve learned in the MBA program, to develop practical solutions that transform organizations.
Starting Four 12
As a child, I was always fascinated with the church office and the mechanics of church administration. My earliest memory of “consulting” was at five years old - me advising the deacons to separate the bills into denominations and to use a calculator to ensure offering count accuracy. Can you believe they actually listened? I didn’t realize an administrator was born and that day would shape who I am now. As a teenager, my passion for church administration grew despite witnessing some of the good, bad, and ugly things that go on behind the scenes. Instead of running away from the church, the lack of processes, need for development, and structure made me run full speed ahead to the place I love to serve. Today, all those experiences have evolved into one of my greatest joys in life - equipping leaders to serve well.

In 2015, I founded Kingdom Ministry Solutions, a church administration consulting business, but quickly realized, that although I was providing transformative administrative solutions, I spent more time educating clients on the importance and need for infrastructure and processes to sustain the solutions I was creating. This resulted in scope creep, me feeling overwhelmed, and the solutions I implemented weren’t sustainable because of inadequate organizational infrastructures and people to maintain the work.
I took two years off to pray, refocus, and decide on the next phase of my business. During those prayerful moments, I knew I had to 1) Accept God called me to be a TEACHER of His Word and biblical truths. 2) Accept CHANGE and recognize change is not always bad, in fact, change can help you and the people you encounter grow. 3) Walk in the AUTHORITY of the Gift of Administration instead of the day-to-day tasks of an admin. Once I accepted those things and walked in the gift’s authority, I asked God how He wanted me to do the work. He redirected me to my consulting firm’s founding scripture, Ephesians 4:12. I was to equip the people for service. This was something I was already doing by educating clients on their WHY; however, God provided a clear strategy and instructions on how He wanted me to execute in my next phase of business.
Fast forward to October 2020. I established Four 12 with the aim to collaboratively equip organizations to not only do ministry but to sustain it, develop disciples, promote organizational stewardship, and enhance ministry effectiveness.
I have a passion to help kingdom leaders:
-
Identify goals - where do you want to go and what do you want to achieve?
-
Discover the potential, passion, gifts, and valuable experience
-
Create a plan to help you move toward implementing your vision
-
Put your plan into action
-
Measure effectiveness and growth
I’m passionate about the Lord’s church and how we reach people, steward resources, and multiply. We must continue the work until the day our Savior returns.
Hopefully, I’ll talk or work with you soon. I can’t wait to connect with you.
